1-002 - Getting Someone's Attention in a Crowded Room..
It's been said that If you're talking to everybody, you're talking to nobody.
In this post you'll discover why you need to know who you're speaking to.
Chances are if you're in a crowded room and you yell for someone to come over, you'll get ignored by most of the people in the room. You may be more successful, however, if you call them by name. If you call a common name, 2 or three heads might turn if they're within ear-shot.
It's not much different in your marketing efforts. When you've discovered your "niche" and who you can help, you'll need to to use your voice to call your perfect prospect by name, in a manner of speaking, of course.
This is Theresa. She's 53 years old, and, just this last Saturday afternoon she had a bout of anxiety when she started thinking about all of the things "on her plate"; the work that wasn't finished on Friday, her daughter away at college who is struggling with her grades, and where the money is coming from to fix the transmission in Theresa's car. Theresa was hoping she would be retiring early, but her husband recently had a stroke and the cost of care has eaten through the family's savings. Early retirement seems out of reach at this point. Theresa's exhausted and mentally drained, but she's optimistic that her new Network Marketing affiliation will help with the money to fix the car.
Does Theresa exist? She does to the point that I understand her pains, fears and dreams. You see, I can relate to Theresa to some extent.
Because I know "Theresa", I will use Theresa's likeness in my marketing efforts. I will speak to Theresa in my posts on social media, and other places where I have active marketing.
Now this doesn't mean everyone else will ignore me. After all a couple of heads turned in the crowded room! However, the goal is to get Theresa to pay attention.
You'll want to discover your very own "Theresa". Your "Theresa" is known as your Ideal Customer Avatar (ICA for short), or just your "Avatar".
